Flying with Mother Nature

Our Favorite Photos from Flying in Weather

Usually when you have a desk job, it becomes easy to predict your day-to-day activities. Things vary and wrenches may be thrown into your plans, but if nothing else, your environment remains comfortable and familiar throughout the days, weeks, and months. You may look out the window to see that it is snowing, raining, windy or sunny, but unless it is extreme, it becomes easy to forget what is going on outside. For pilots, the weather is everything. Even the slightest breeze requires adaptation and vigilance. It is part of what makes being a pilot so exciting: no two days are the same. If you're tired of the same routine in your everyday work life, becoming a pilot is a great alternative to invest in a career that is filled with adventure and stimulation. Check out some of our favorite pictures from flying with Mother Nature.

Total Eclipse of the Chopper

It's not everyday that you can capture an awesome shot in the sky. But for our photographer, everything came into place for this picture-perfect evening flight. In Southern Utah, we experience dramatic sunsets on a regular basis, with deep oranges and yellows filling the sky as the sun sinks below the horizon. But as awesome as the view is from the ground, one can only imagine how spectacular it is from the sky itself. So when we went for a flight, we saw the perfect opportunity to blend together a beautiful sunset with one of our favorite Upper Limit helicopters.
